All Access 2010 Conference

Every weekend, at least one new ARC church begins.

That’s right–in 2009 the Association of Related Churches planted 55 churches around the country, and this year they plan to plant another 75-100. In addition to reaching thousands of people locally with these new congregations, the ARC church plants also give millions of dollars to reach people globally–last year they donated more than $7 million to foreign missions.

One of the big ways ARC supports and recruits its leaders is their annual All-Access conference. This year’s event is April 27-29 at Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge. Hillsong United will be there to lead worship and offer a Q&A on production. Speakers include Dino Rizzo, Craig Groeschel, Priscilla Shirer and John Maxwell and a variety of App Sessions provide in-depth discussion of leadership, church life, social justice and more.

ARC is all about relationships–creating them and nurturing them. So their conference is, too. You don’t just listen to these guys talk, you have opportunities to talk WITH them and connect with other leaders who share a vision for life-giving, fast-growing church plants.

Our Check-In Issues

Viral Success on Twitter

Don’t Spam all Your Twitter Friends asking for a RT.

Source other valuable articles within your blog post. In other words, provide good content that is RT worthy.

Don’t self-promote too much. According to Nate Moller-  Dan Hollings (@dhollings) explains Twitter in one easy statement -”Twitter is like a “cocktail party” – you can’t just talk about yourself over and over again – you’ll lose people.”

Become friends with Twitter folk who have good listeners. A big part of having good listeners is being actively involved. If you’re a “once-in-a-while” twitter user, chances are that not many people really listen to you at all. The easiest way to monitor “listenership” is found in the proof above. If one friend RTs your stuff and then hundreds of their friends RT it, you know the friend has good “listeners”. Once you’ve found a friend with good Twitter listeners, refer to Tip 1 of this simple checklist.

Thank the hand that fed you. Even the big names in your industry appreciate a “Thanks.”

What success (or failure) have you had using Twitter to go Viral?
How can you now implement this without annoying people?

Super Giver-Super Bowl

Gift Card Giver launches:
SUPER GIVER PARTY
Feb 7, 2010

A Super Bowl Party Benefiting Haiti Relief
The super bowl is the house party of the year. We know, you will be at a house watching the big screen with your friends, eating junk food, yelling for no reason and voting on what commercial was the funniest.

We need you, yes you, the one with the cheese dip in your lap. While you are cheering, we need you to help us collect gift cards to help with relief efforts in Haiti. Every person has an unused gift card ($8 billion annually) and you can help do something super by collecting  those cards to support a great need.

Party with a purpose. Simply, have a super giver bowl and put gift cards in it instead of chips.  When you’re wiping up soda spills and filling your dishwasher, you can throw the gift cards in an envelope to Gift Card Giver and you’ll have given your party even more purpose.  But don’t forget to tell your friends to bring their gift cards!

SUPER STEPS
1.  Tell your friends to bring gift cards to your super bowl party.
2.  Put a bowl between the cheese dip and ice cubes, make people give.
3. Watch our video at halftime to share the SUPER idea.
4.  Put the gift cards in an envelope: Gift Card Giver, PO Box 17628-Atlanta, GA 30316
5. Help Haiti people in great need.

And then also,
